I am 55 years old and my fiancé is 51. We live in Arizona, right on the Mexico border. In 2024, my dad passed away after I cared for him, and the following year, my mom died as well. After losing both parents, I had to find a place to live with only my social security disability income. I used all my savings to purchase a motorhome, but it needed repairs and became too costly to maintain. We traded the motorhome for a used car, which now has mechanical issues, and my fiancé and I are currently sleeping in our car.

We will soon be moving into a shed that we are making payments on, but we really can't afford it. The shed doesn't have insulation, electricity, or water, and we need to make it livable. In two weeks, I will be having open heart surgery, and I need somewhere with air conditioning to come home to. I am also type 1 diabetic, have congestive heart failure, and need a total shoulder replacement. My fiancé is applying for disability and can't work due to degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and multiple surgeries. He also struggles with PTSD, psychosis, and depression. Our dog, Abbie, needs her teeth cleaned desperately, but we can't afford it. Right now, we are struggling to pay for food, bills, and basic needs.

We need help to fix our car, fix our old truck to haul in water, pay monthly credit card bills and title loans, pay for septic system plans for a city permit, buy food, gas money to get to the hospital (which is about 90 miles away), get a spare tire, insulate our shed, and set up solar power for electricity. Any support would mean the world to us and help us create a safe place to recover and care for each other and Abbie. We would be very grateful for any help during this difficult time.
