Help Lorina and Shirley Honor Their Mom

(THE SERVICE DATE IS APPROXIMATE) Hey everyone, this is Lorina, Karen's daughter. I'm sad to write that my mama, Karen, passed away in her sleep unexpectedly on December 20th, 2024. She came down to visit my sister Shirley and me for the holidays, and I take a small amount of peace in knowing she passed around us. But anyways, anyone who knew my mama knew she was a beautiful soul. She loved God and believed in His plans for her life and her family's lives. She smiled a lot, she loved a lot, and she lived a full, beautiful life. I know she wanted to stay with us longer, and it kills me that didn't happen. But here we are.

I'm making this because anyone who knows us closely enough knows my sister and I are not in a place (nor really ever have been) financially to do a lot. We are lucky to pay our bills, and mama even helped with that. I've finally pulled my head out of my and gotten a decent job and done better, but not enough to pay for all the expenses for a funeral/celebration of life, burial, cremation, etc. Plus, it's almost Christmas, and I mentioned she was visiting from Georgia, and that's where she wants to be laid to rest, so we need help getting out there to do her service as well.

I know funds are tight for everyone, and I know not everyone can help, but those who can, please help us. And those who can't, please share this. Mama helped so many people through so many things, and I just want to make sure she gets the honor and proper burial she deserves. Just know if you met her, she loved you. She'll never be forgotten by anyone, and she will live on in our hearts. I love you, mommy. I'll miss you forever.
