As many of you know my sister Lorina's 3yr old son Arya was just diagnosed with Leukemia Type B on February 6th. After being sick with what some Drs thought was just the Flu, overnight he took a turn for the worst. In just these short 6 days, Arya has been fighting for his life and has recieved 5 blood transfusions, and even had to have a procedure to retract his bone marrow. During that 1st attempt of the procedure his heart stopped, and the Drs and nurses were able to bring him back. The 2nd procedure went much better and they were able to see that 80% of his bone marrow showed cancer cells. We are currently waiting for results to see if the cancer has spread to his spine. During this life changing event, so many of our family and friends have been so supportive and wanting to help, and we truly thank you. Arya will be in the hospital for about 30 days. We have a long road ahead and it's going to be about 2.5-3 years that Arya will be getting chemotherapy. I created this GoFundMe in hopes that many of you will share this, and if you feel it in you to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please continue to pray for Arya and Lorina. His 4th birthday is just a few weeks away, and he now is no longer walking and having to get physical therapy. We will continue to walk by faith during this time and we know we are not alone.❤️ Thank you again to everyone who has reached out wanting to help and for all the kind words and support. We love you and can't say thank you enough.
***UPDATE***
As of February 16th Arya was finally discharged from the hospital! He has a long journey ahead of him for the next 2.5-3yrs while doing chemotherapy. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference in their journey. We appreciate the support so very much! We can't thank everyone enough for all your kindness. ❤️
**2/19/25 **
Our entire family just wanted to say thank you all for your donations! You all have been so loving and supportive and it has not gone unappreciated. When I created this GoFundMe for my sister and nephew it recommended that for a medical fund it normally starts at 18k! I put our goal at 5k because I just wanted them to be ok for this month and not to stress and worry about taking time off work etc. From the bottom of our hearts thank you all sooooo very much. Lorina and Arya have a long road ahead of them for the next 2.5-3yrs while going through chemo. I will keep this GoFundMe active while they start this fight with Leukemia.
