Hi everyone, Where do I even begin? I guess I’ll just “dive” right in instead of tip-toeing around. That has always been my style.

 I’m Judy Gomlick and I’m earnestly trying to help my best friend / our dear friend Lorin Altman, who is currently battling breast cancer for the second time. She is a 2 time cancer survivor ( Breast 2014 and Tongue 2022 ) and as of November 2025, was diagnosed with cancer a 3rd time.

 After having a double mastectomy this past November, she is now facing 15 chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatments over the course of the next 9 months. As many people know, treatment can take an incredible toll - physically, emotionally and financially. The surgery and now the treatments as well as a current setback this past month, have made her unable to work. Medical expenses, everyday bills and normal living expenses for a family of 4 - including 2 teenagers - continue to add up.

For those of you who know Lorin ( and myself ), asking for help is not something that comes naturally to her or to me. Many of her friends and family have asked her how they can help or show support for her during her time of need. So, in response to this outpouring of people wanting to help her, I created this GoFundMe page, to give those who wish to help, a place to do so.

 Every donation, no matter what the amount, will help relieve the weight on her shoulders and give her the ability to focus on herself, her health and her family.

 My 50 year friendship with Lorin means the absolute world to me. I am going to try my best to help her walk this difficult path she finds herself on and ease some of her worry.
