My name is Debbi McIntyre and I have been close friends with Lori DiBacco for over 16 years. In the many years we have been close friends, I have watched her go through 8 plus surgeries and constant pain. She is a person who has always has been there for me and is always there for any friend, neighbor or animal that needs her. Now is our time to be there for her.
HELP LORI WALK AGAIN & RETURN TO SAVING ANIMALS
Lori has survived more surgeries than she can count but her hope remains strong. We are asking for your help to try one last treatment. Recent failed surgeries and setbacks have caused chronic pain leading to trouble walking with a cane. She has severe tears to her gluteus medius and minimus on her right hip, along with other bone and joint issues throughout her body. We found a top surgeon with a 90% success rate, but Medicare will not cover this treatment. Lori dreams of the day she can move without constant pain—not just for herself but for the animals who depend on her. Her greatest joy has always been caring for cats and dogs who need a second chance.
SURGERY AND EXPENSES
Lori’s double tendon reconstruction, is scheduled for January 22, 2026, where she will be in a hip and leg brace for 24/7 (except showers) for six weeks (she has been to this rodeo before with her surgery in January 2024 and this is the worst part of the recovery process), with thrice weekly physical therapy treatments. What makes Dr. Sanjum Samagh success rate 90% is his use of these three added procedures during surgery that we are asking for help with today. (Medicare will pay 100% of balance of surgery).
PRP - Platelet Rich Plasmas Injections - $750 - PRP use the patients own blood to promote healing
Interyl Human Connective Tissue Matrix - $3,500 - This uses the power of placential tissue to support the body’s natural ability to heal by replacing the damaged tissue
CuffMend - $4,500 - A graft is prepared and anchored to the torn tendon for stable fixation to keep it from tearing again
TOTAL - $8,750
A LIFE DEDICATED TO HELPING PETS
Lori has spent over 30 years volunteering for animal rescue and adoption events, with a special passion for senior and special-needs cats. Her greatest heartbreak is being unable to dedicate her time to these animals due to her injury. Her dream was to celebrate her upcoming 70th birthday by volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. Instead, she is facing another surgery and a long road back to mobility.
Animals have been at the center of Lori’s life since childhood. She grew up with pets of all kinds—dogs, hamsters, turtles, parakeets—yet her heart found a deep love for cats. Helping vulnerable animals is not just something she does. It is who she is.
Not just for herself but for the animals who depend on her. Her greatest joy has always been caring for the cats and dogs who need a second chance. That is why in 2010 she started her company with her husband Bill, Coco & Boo Pet Concierge Plus & Feline Frenzy Cat Care, a 5 Star, multi award winning Pet Sitting and dog walking business. After pouring her heart and love into the business for 12 years, she has been unable to work at her business for the past 3 years because of the surgeries she has endured. With her limitations she and Bill have been unable to take any vacations to Mexico that they loved…..even taking a walk to the beach two miles away has become a chore because of her pain. The entire family is suffering because of her disability.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Lori has always shown up for animals in need. Your help will enable Lori to enjoy life again. She looks forward to healing, walking pain free, and getting back to doing what she loves: being on the front line in service of those without a voice.
Any contribution, big or small, brings her one step closer to recovery, plus abandoned animals will benefit from her return to volunteering.
Thank you for supporting Lori. ❤️
