(Important Update towards the bottom)

For all of us who knew and loved and were friends with Lori Bitney this will come as no surprise. There is no money. None. True to form (I think she is laughing with me as I tap this out), she needs help with the final expense of cremation and sending her remains so that she can be laid to rest with the remains of her beloved dogs, Riley, Angus, Theodore, Annie, Olivia, Tootsie, and Kerby.

Augie and Atticus have been successfully rehomed and will be living their best lives in northern Colorado and I thank all of you who contributed to that effort from the very bottom of my heart.

I hate to have to come back to the well, and, here we are. I can’t stand the idea of her being disposed of in a pauper’s grave by the state of Montana where she passed.

Anything at all you would be willing to contribute to this effort would mean so very much.

Also— if we meet the goal, we may be able to do some sort of stone or plaque too.  Any excess after paying for all the final expenses (body transport, cremation, sending ashes, etc. etc. etc.— there’s a lot involved).  

Update October 7 6:41 pm— I am going to up the amount because: 1) any sort of stone is much more expensive than I realized; and, 2) I didn’t know about or account for body storage fees.  HOWEVER, if you’re reading this for the first time, we should be able to accomplish the cremation and delivery with what people have already generously contributed.  

Thanks again for even clicking the link.  I know everyone’s wells are pretty dry right now and I just want to get Lori into the memorial garden with her dogs.
