Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out to you in a time of need. My incredible mother (Lori) and her husband John are facing an immense challenge, as John has become critically ill and requires extensive medical attention.

In March of 2021, John was taken to the emergency room where it was later discovered that he was experiencing a recurrence of his cancer which had been in remission for decades. Greatly impacting his hearing and vision, John was put on disability leave and then forced into early retirement after minimal improvement following an initial surgery. The result of multiple surgeries and radiation treatment have left John unable to care for himself leaving Lori no choice but to also retire to be able to care for him at home. She has also sustained injuries in assisting him, limiting her mobility.

John's condition has yet to improve. This year alone, John has been between the ER, ICU, hospital, and an acute care facility (where he almost immediately caught Covid) since the beginning of February, and just made a return trip to the ER and ICU at the beginning of April after going in to septic shock due to a suspected bacterial infection.

We are asking for your help to support Lori and John during this difficult time. Any amount, no matter how small, can make a tremendous difference in their lives.

Your donations will go directly towards covering John's medical bills, as well as the necessary accessibility renovations to their home. We know that times are tough for everyone, but we ask that you consider giving what you can to support this wonderful couple in their time of need.

Lori has always been a kind-hearted and loving person who has dedicated her life to teaching and caring for others. Now it is our turn to show her the same kindness and generosity that she has shown to so many others.
