Hi, my name is Lori and this is my story… it started in December 2019 I had stomach pain, my sugar was out of control and after several trips to the the ER I had an emergency appendectomy and a 6mm cyst on the head of my pancreas. I had a biopsy in May 2020 and was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. After 6 rounds of chemo had the life changing whipple and 6 more rounds of chemo I was in remission. In June 2024 it had metastasized to 4 of my lymph nodes and have been on chemo since July 8, 2024.
In my most recent pet scan I have 2
new nodules that need to be biopsied and am completely devastated and scared. I don’t know what my future holds but I do know that I will continue to fight. I still have a lot of life to live and feel my purpose is not done.
Every day is a struggle emotionally, physically, financially and is exhausting but I am still trying to stay positive. I am a single mom of 2 beautiful girls trying to make ends meet and try to work every day even a few hours a day it’s hard sometimes the neuropathy in my feet is so bad it makes it hard to walk. With the little bit I work it is still not enough with the mounting co-pays any help you can give would be so appreciated and helpful and would go towards my medical bills and basic everyday needs so that I can maybe take time to heal and whatever new treatment is suggested
Thank you for reading my story, please share and God bless
