Help Lorenzo & Simone find stable housing!

Hey everyone! My name is Lorenzo, and you probably know me from fanart I post on Twitter/Tumblr. I'm starting this fundraiser in the hope that my mother and I can get help getting back on our feet and finding somewhere safe to live.

My mom has been in a difficult and abusive marriage for the past ten years, but doesn't have the finances in place to safely leave. I myself am currently alternating between staying at my friends house, to my mother and her soon-to-be-ex husband's house due to an untenable roommate situation, but I am still on the hook for paying the lease unless I can gather the money to break it. Unfortunately, due to my lack of a stable living situation, I don't have consistent privacy to work on the commissions I've taken on among other things. It's also greatly affecting my performance at my day job, because I work from home and don't have a dedicated office space at this time.

What's worse, my mom recently was laid off from her job and does not currently have an income. I am doing everything I can to support us, but the year has been really rough so not only are we falling behind on our daily expenses, but we are unable to build up any savings. My mom losing her job also means we have both subsequently lost our health insurance and have been living without some meds in order to make ends meet. We are both chronically ill, so this has been especially difficult to cope with.

Between rent, car payments, food for ourselves and my two dogs, general living expenses, etc, we are struggling to survive.

Any money we raise will first be going toward our current rent and car payments and then toward our savings. We are looking for new places to live, but the fee for breaking my lease is a big hurdle and the further we fall behind on our bills, the harder it will be to be approved to rent somewhere new.

NOTE: The one hosting the fundraiser is me, Lorenzo, but it's under my birth name due to GFM policies! All funds are going directly to my mother and I.
