Andy Hoffman was diagnosed with stage 4 head and neck cancer at the end of November. From that moment on he fought the hardest battle of his life. While cancer changed his body, it never changed who he was. His strength, humor, love, and incredible personality remained until his very last breath.

Loren Hoffman and her brother Mason have faced unimaginable challenges this year. Loren made the selfless decision to pause her studies to care for Andy, showing unwavering love and strength as they navigated the hardest days together. Andy was the heart of their family—full of laughter, energy, and resilience. He fought bravely, and Loren was right by his side every step of the way, making sure he was comfortable and surrounded by love.

Sadly, Andy recently passed away, leaving Loren and Mason to pick up the pieces and face a new reality. Now, they are responsible for covering Andy’s funeral costs, paying off his outstanding bills, and managing their own living expenses—including housing, utilities, and daily needs—as they transition to independence. The financial burden is overwhelming, touching every aspect of their lives. Loren’s dream is to return to Michigan State, finish her degree, and pursue veterinarian school, while Mason is also working toward his own educational goals.
