For the last several years, I have suffered from debilitating pain- it shoots down my limbs, causes intense muscle spasms in my back, creates nearly daily migraines and more. The cause has been unkown and I have struggled to find a doctor who is willing to take on a complex case with no straightforward answers. Ultimately, I moved across the state to have access to better medical care. The investment paid off! I’ve found a doctor who decided to take on the challenge of making me well, and have been working with him for a few months now. The benefits have been dramatic! I have started venturing out on hikes again, much to my delight! I can see some light at the end of the tunnel! Obstructing my view is the cost of treatment and outstanding medical debt; I have tried to make ends meet for months now and am failing, but I don’t want to abandon the medical treatment that is, finally, making me well. The cost of my current phase of rehabilitation care is $2600. I already had $1400 in medical debt. Adding to the financial burden is the cost of a lumpectomy during a breast cancer scare this winter. The results came back benign (praise God!) along with a bill for $1000. I am simply overwhelmed, and my only thought for relief was to get word out for my need for help through GoFundMe. My deepest desire is to be free from pain and economic hardship so I can spend my life investing in my 3rd grade students, playing with my active niece and nephew, and tackling some soul rejuvenating hikes on the weekends so I can always be giving my kids my very best- all so hard to do when battling through pain. I’m doing all I can to be a wise steward of my money. Would you consider donating to my Fund to help me pay for the medical treatment I need and medical care I cannot afford on my own? I would appreciate it so much; it would change my life.
