After a period of heartbreaking loss, I moved into a new apartment to start fresh. In just two months, I lost both my boyfriend and another best friend, and the grief has been overwhelming. On top of that, I was laid off from my hotel job of two years in October, which made it even harder to keep up with daily life and bills. My wonderful friend Samantha stepped in and took over one of the rooms in my apartment. She returned to New Orleans for medical treatments and to reconnect with friends she loves. Together, we’re doing our best to support each other and get back on our feet.
Right now, both Samantha and I are looking for work, but money is tight and the bills keep coming. We’re struggling to cover the basics—rent, T-Mobile phone bills, and Delta Gas for our apartment. Samantha has had help with her medical treatments, but we’re still facing financial instability while we search for new jobs. Every day is a challenge, but we’re determined to keep our home safe and comfortable while we get through this tough time.
Any help is so very important and appreciated. Samantha is here for medical reasons and to be close to friends, and I’m doing everything I can to keep our apartment, keep the lights on, and keep our phones working so we can continue our job searches. Your support means the world to us, and we’re deeply grateful for any assistance you can offer.
