Between Hospice and Surgery:

Help Us Through This Season of Care & Healing

There are moments in life when we are called to be strong in ways we never imagined, and this is one of those moments for our family.

With a humble and grateful heart, I am reaching out during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives.

My beloved mother has already undergone surgery to have a catheter placed in her chest so she can begin dialysis, and we are so thankful that the procedure was successful. In the coming days, she will undergo another surgery on her left arm to create a fistula for long-term dialysis treatment. These procedures are necessary to sustain her life, and we are trusting God to guide every step.

At the same time, my husband, who is in hospice care, was recently transferred to respite care at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. Caring for both of them has been a calling I carry with love, but it has also greatly impacted my ability to work. As a result, our household income has been reduced significantly.

My mother has no income of her own, and we have been her sole support for everything. Over time, our savings, emergency funds, and resources have been stretched to their limit. I find myself running thin, emotionally, physically, and financially, while trying to remain strong for those I love.

This is not easy for me to share. We have always tried to manage on our own, but in this season, I am humbly turning to our community, friends, family, and people of faith. If you feel led to give, your support would help us keep up with essential needs, medical expenses, daily living costs, and simply keeping the lights on while I focus on caring for my mother and husband.
