Hello, my name is Marcia and I am Jill's mother and Lonnie's Mother-in-law. I am setting up this GoFundMe page because, on 7/14/21, Lonnie was inside his pole barn when it caught on fire. He was taken by ambulance to U of M's burn unit. He is currently in the ICU with 2nd and 3rd-degree burns from his head to his waist. 65% of his body is burned. He is now fighting for his life with the risk of infection. They have him intubated and heavily sedated. They had to do an escharotomy, which is where they lance the skin to allow it to breathe. He is also on dialysis because of the fluids that are being sucked out of his body from the burns. With all of this going on, Lonnie is also a diabetic.

As most of you know, Lonnie ran his Tree and Hauling business. Without him being able to work and since they do not have insurance, they will need all the help they can get for his medical expenses and traveling back and forth to the U. Since Lonnie is in critical condition, Jill is staying in a hotel near the hospital so that she can be with Lonnie as much as possible. Anything that you are willing to give is much appreciated. Lonnie and Jill are not ones to take handouts, but they understand that in this situation, they need all the help and support they can receive.
