My name is Lonni and I have an amazing opportunity to become a first time homeowner. I have already secured the home and receive my keys in the beginning of 2025. As someone who came from a life of poverty, I never thought something like this would be possible.

My son and I were blessed to own a home through a program that helps lower income individuals purchase a home. This is major for us as it would bring about benefits such as safer housing and lower bills. I would be able to save for my son and I’s future! One of the things I look forward to most is building my son an educational room to help him continue to learn and grow. I have a chance at stability and a real place for us to call home. Owning a home is so important to me because I want to make my son proud and give him something that will last for generations!

I am asking that you donate what you can to my gofundme to help me and my son become first time homeowners. Some of the things the funding would go towards is the home deposit, move-in and moving costs, furniture (I lost a lot having to move 5x over the course of 2 years while being pregnant) and installing cameras for safety purposes. It’s important I can afford the rent at my current apartment and the first mortgage payment. As a single mother, I was challenged with facing homelessness due to a toxic relationship with the father of my child, and unsafe living standards that nearly drained my savings account. I am also living in the U.S. with the lack of a family support system to help my son and I.
