Help long-time Slidell teacher, Ms. Romo

Who doesn’t know Ms. Romo? If you don’t know her, you’ve probably heard of her! If not, just know that she has likely affected your life in some way, shape, or form…you just don’t realize it!

Ms. Romo has been a kindergarten teacher at Lake Castle Private School for 40+ years! WOW! She is a devoted Christian woman who has dedicated most of her adult life to others, has taught generations of kids, touched the lives of thousands of people, and has NEVER asked for anything in return.

Now, Ms. Romo needs our help more than ever before. In late 2022, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Ms. Romo has battled through many medical hurdles, including chemo treatments, but has never stopped teaching!

While most people would have focused their energy elsewhere, this amazing woman is so devoted to her kindergarten children that she has come to school almost every day to ensure there was minimal disruption to her students’ education. If you know her, none of this should be a surprise. She has laid the foundation for hundreds of children over her four decades of teaching…many of whom have gone on to be very successful adults. A majority of Ms. Romo’s former students attribute a large part of their life success to her. The profound impact she has had on others, and her local Slidell community, cannot truly be put into words.

No amount of money can ever repay what Ms. Romo has done for everyone, but it can certainly help with easing the burden of current and future medical expenses for her and her family.
