Lolita is a beautiful Siamese cat with striking blue eyes who is part of the feral cat colony in my neighborhood. Recently, I noticed a sore on her neck that quickly grew much larger, and I knew she needed help. After trapping her and taking her to the vet, we learned that Lolita likely has a macro bacterial infection. The infection can’t be treated until the extra tissue that has grown over it is removed through surgery.

To keep her safe and comfortable while she waits for surgery, I purchased a large kennel and set it up in my living room. Lolita is now indoors, where I can monitor her and make sure she gets the care she needs. Her surgery and treatment are being taken care of at South Austin Cat Hospital, where she’s receiving expert care. The funds raised will go directly toward her surgery, antibiotic treatment, and any follow-up care she may need. If there are any funds left over, they will be donated to Friends of Austin Animal Center in support of Austin Community Cats to help other feral cats in need.
