Lola is the quiet kind of special. She’s a shy girl with a gentle soul, never the loudest in the room, but always present. Lola loves her dad tremendously and has a deep affection for her work friends, both dog and human. As a core member of our doggie office staff, she shows up every day offering comfort, companionship, and the kind of calm presence that makes everyone’s day a little better.

Before her injury, Lola was an active girl. She loved to zoom, stretch her legs, and soak up all the joy a dog’s life should be full of, especially treats. Unfortunately, Lola is dealing with a CCL injury, similar to an ACL tear in humans. We were hopeful that with time, care, and more than 10 weeks of strict rest, her leg might heal on its own. Sadly, it’s now clear that it won’t. Lola is still unable to properly use her leg, and without surgery, she won’t be able to walk comfortably, let alone run and play like she used to. CCL surgery is now the only path forward to give her a pain-free, active life again.

Watching such a sweet, gentle dog slow down has been heartbreaking. Lola wants so badly to join in, to move without hesitation, and to be her happy, zoom-loving self again. She deserves the chance to live without pain and get back to the life she loves. Lola’s dad works for a nonprofit and does everything he can to take care of his sweet girl. We’re coordinating this fundraiser to help take some of the financial stress off his plate, so he can focus on what matters most, getting Lola healthy, comfortable, and back to 100%.
