Help Lola the Golden Retriever Heal and Thrive

Donation protected
Yesterday around 5 pm, my friend's golden retriever, Lola, let her intrusive thoughts take over and ran out of the apartment and into the parking lot where she was struck by a vehicle.

The impact caused Lola’s front right leg to break into two, and tore skin causing an open fracture. We rushed her to the emergency vet clinic where they took X-rays and gave several medications. They also tried to place the bone back into place, but unfortunately were unable to due to the fracture and Lola is in need of surgery. We paid the $820 bill and searched for the nearest vet hospital.

We found the nearest 24/7 vet hospital in Gainesville and arrived around 2:30 am Friday morning. After a long wait, we were estimated $4,500-$6,500 for the procedure and the hospital requires a minimum of 75% deposit in order to start care.

Unfortunately, we are unable to cover the cost since Lola does not have emergency insurance, we applied to the CareCredit Card but were not approved. After spending all night and the morning, we were released from the hospital with an additional $200 bill.

The temporary cast is good until Monday and due to the exposed bone Lola is at high risk for infection. Since this morning we have been calling around to several clinics and cannot find an affordable surgery location.

At minimum we need $4,875 in order to admit her into the hospital. We understand that times are rough for everyone, but would appreciate any help!
