She did zoomies until she was breathless. Then she climbed onto a patio chair, sat perfectly still, and watched the clouds roll by.

That's Lola.

Two years old. One brown eye, one blue. A Siberian Husky mix who will sprint circles around a garden one minute and curl up asking for belly rubs the next. A dog who watches birds like she's studying them. A dog who waits by the door for her person to come home, then melts into the couch for cuddles.

The Situation

Lola is currently safe, boarding with a professional trainer in the Atlanta area while we search for her next family. But boarding isn't free, and every day without a placement is another day closer to options that could undo everything she's been working toward.

Why a Shelter Would Set Her Back

Lola isn't aggressive. She's overstimulated. There's a crucial difference.
A behavioral specialist who evaluated Lola explained it this way: her nervous system is stuck in a constant state of alertness. She's not misbehaving. She's surviving in confusion.

In a shelter environment, surrounded by barking, unfamiliar smells, confined spaces, and constant stimulation, a dog like Lola can't decompress. The stress hormones spike and stay elevated. The progress she's made unravels. The behaviors that make her harder to adopt get louder. The window to find her a family shrinks.

Shelters are doing heroic work, but they're overwhelmed. Dogs like Lola, who need time, patience, and the right match, often don't get the chance they need.

That's why keeping her in a calm, structured boarding environment while we search matters so much. It's not just about comfort. It's about preserving her potential.

Who Lola Is

Crate-trained. House-trained. Knows her commands. Loves people deeply. Plays hard and cuddles harder.

She needs an experienced pet parent who understands high-energy dogs. Someone committed to consistent, positive training. No small or elderly dogs in the home. A guardian who will celebrate her Husky spirit and grow alongside her.

She's healthy. Spayed. Vaccinated. Microchipped. Ready.

How You Can Help

Adopt or foster Lola. No distance is too far. We will get her to you. She's in Atlanta right now, but her next chapter could be anywhere. It could be with you. Click here to learn more about adopting Lola

Can't adopt? A few dollars keeps her in safe boarding while we search. A single share might reach the exact right person. A small act of kindness could change everything for this one dog with the mismatched eyes who just wants to watch the clouds with someone who loves her.

The Ripple Effect

Here's what we know: it's rarely one big gesture that saves an animal. It's a thousand small ones. The donation that covers another day. The share that lands in front of someone who knows someone. The message forwarded to a friend who just lost their dog and has room in their heart again.

Lola's person is out there. They just don't know she exists yet.
Help us keep Lola safe until we find her family.
