Hi everyone,
First & foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this story about our family dog. Two nights ago our neighbors untrained violent dog came into our house when our friend was opening our door to visit us. The dog sneaked his head inside and my dog was close enough to where he bit her causing a broken jaw. Lola is badly injured and on 8/19 we took her to the vet, they ran a blood test and did an X-ray. Turns out her fractures led her to having an infection that makes it hard for her to eat/drink. This information alone costed us 2.7k. Lola is currently taking 3 medications a day. 2 antibiotics + a pain reliever. We were advised by the vet to take her to another hospital they recommended where they specialize in bones/dental. On 8/30 they did a CT scan which is another 2k and on 8/30 we were told they would need to do the operation because her jaw is also dislocated & has a deep wound that will lead into an infection & arthritis in the near future if left untreated. The estimated amount for this surgery would be at least 4k. This first visit costed us 1.2k and our second visit 7.8k (CT scan+ future surgery) costing us a total of 9k. Our neighbor is super irresponsible and does not care, his dog has bitten all of my household members including myself. He’s been warned by us to take care of his dog and we’ve given him multiple options on how to take care of the situation, yet he’s done nothing and is still trying to keep his dog no matter the situation, which is why we can’t depend on him paying for this. Point is, my dog unfortunately paid the price and is now suffering. My family and I are devastated & are just in shock at the moment. We were in the process of hopefully moving out of this toxic environment by next year but with this expense, it will definitely hold us back. Any little cent or share is absolutely appreciated, Lola’s been a part of this family for 15 years & having to see her like this is hitting us hard, we hope we can get her back to the way she was and hoping our little family can recover from this situation as soon as possible.
