Hello,
My name is Caitlin Crory, and my best friend of 15 years, Lola Batista, was in a devastating car accident on Sunday, October 17th. The accident was caused by another vehicle that lost control at the bend on Loxahatchee Road, Parkland. Lola's car was hit head on as a result of the reckless driver. Her injuries include a broken arm and clavicle, internal bleeding, and a nerve-damaging gash above her knee. While we are all so grateful she survived and didn't suffer any brain or spinal injuries, the road to recovery will be long and difficult. She is expected to be in the hospital for weeks, and will need intensive physical and emotional therapy for years to come. Lola is a hardworking nursing student at Palm Beach State College and works long hours as a server to pay for school. Recently, she purchased a new car she purchased only four days before the accident. The physical and financial burdens caused by this act of reckless endangerment has put many roadblocks in the way of meeting her goals of gaining financial independency and becoming what she always dreamed of being--a nurse. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will help with hospital bills, therapy, and lost wages.
