In summer 2027, Lola has the incredible opportunity to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to Borneo with her college. This isn’t just a trip.. it’s a chance for her to make a real impact, learn about the world, and grow in ways that a classroom never could.

During the expedition, she’ll spend two weeks volunteering in local communities — helping on sustainable farms, assisting at a sun bear and orangutan sanctuary, and learning how to protect one of the most vital ecosystems on Earth. She’ll also experience true adventure by trekking through the rainforest, camping under the stars, and working alongside local people and conservation experts.

This experience will teach her teamwork, independence, and resilience, while helping to protect endangered species and support local communities before she plans on heading off to uni to study medicine.

We’re raising funds to help cover the cost of the expedition, which includes travel, accommodation, training, and vital contributions to the volunteer projects themselves. Every donation, big or small, will bring her one step closer to making this dream a reality.
