Hello, I’m Lola, a sophomore at Northwood High School. I have been invited to participate in a HUGE opportunity that I hope this loving community could help me with!

Currently, I am a part-time college student at Montgomery College, and I’m majoring in Business and Social Sciences. However, I received an invitation to go live and take classes at Yale University through Envision's National Youth Leadership Forum: Business and Innovation educational program. This program specializes in business and entrepreneurship, which is my main interest as a career for when I am older. In addition, this program offers college credits and a competition simulation that resembles the hit television show, "Shark Tank".

This program is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me as a young Latina Asian woman. Unfortunately, with the cost being over $3,000, my family cannot afford it. With my family already under stress and strain from COVID-19, this opportunity may likely pass me by. Moreover, it would be devasting not to take advantage of this program and accept the generous invitation I’ve been given. Though I have already started my collegiate journey with college prep programs like Upward Bound and Middle College, I know this program will further help educate me on making my future career aspirations into reality!
