Lola came into my life as a rescue, needing urgent treatment for severe ear infections. I knew from the start that she would need extra care, and I was committed to giving her the best chance at a healthy, happy life.
Over the past months, I’ve spent thousands of dollars on treatments and procedures, hoping to resolve her pain and help her heal. Despite our best efforts, Lola’s condition has continued to worsen. Her ears have completely ossified, and the vet has determined that her only hope is a major surgery called a TECA—BO (total ear canal ablation and bulla osteotomy) to remove her entire ear canal. In Lola’s case, the surgery will need to be performed on both ears, making it even more complex and urgent. Her first surgery is already scheduled for March 24, the cost I was quoted and I have tried to attach the documents, it is $3800 for one side. I love her too much to see her in pain and I know that, no matter what, I have to make this happen for her so she will get it one way or another.
This was something we hoped to avoid, but it’s now the only way to give her a real chance at comfort and quality of life. The funds raised will go directly toward Lola’s TECA—BO surgery and the medications she’ll need during her recovery. All funds will be paid directly to the vet for Lola’s surgery, and I will provide updates and receipts to donors so you can see exactly how your support is helping.
I’m not seeking help for the costs I’ve already covered—just what’s needed to get her through this next, critical step. If, by some miracle, donations go beyond what’s needed, I’ll donate the extra to a rescue so other animals can get the help they deserve.
I’m reaching out to fellow animal lovers and anyone who believes every pet deserves a pain-free life. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing Lola’s story, means the world to us. Thank you for helping give Lola the second chance she deserves.
