Our beloved dog Lola has been part of our family since 2013, joining us on our one-year dating anniversary. She’s been with us through every milestone, including our recent wedding in June. Lola is more than just a pet—she’s our companion, our comfort, and a constant source of joy.
Last Friday, we noticed a mass on Lola’s hind leg had grown quickly and become hard. After a visit to the vet, we received the heartbreaking news that Lola has a Mass Cell tumor, which has already spread to her lymph node. The surgeon explained that surgery isn’t an immediate option unless we consider amputation, and even then, there’s no guarantee it will remove all of the cancer. We’re meeting with an oncologist soon to explore options to shrink the tumor, with the hope of eventually removing it through surgery or amputation.
Lola’s diagnosis has turned our world upside down. We’ve lost sleep and missed work as we focus on her care, and it’s been emotionally overwhelming. Despite everything, Lola remains in good spirits, though she sometimes struggles with discomfort and occasional vomiting. We’re raising funds to help cover the costs of her vet visits, medications, surgery, and ongoing treatments. Any support will help us give Lola the best chance at recovery and keep our family together through this difficult time.
