Aloha Everyone, Family, Friends, Co-workers, Colleagues and kind souls,

 

My name is Rosemarie and together with my sister, Robbielyn, we’re devastated to share that our mother Evelyn Calso has passed on 3/11/2022 in Hawaii.

 

She was a private, strong, prideful, loving, independent, single mother who overcame a lot of adversities. She struggled in many aspects and rarely asked for help.

 

In December 2021 she discovered she had Stage 3 cancer after suffering a stroke. While successfully recovering from that stroke, she undergone surgery to remove the large cancerous mass. Unfortunately her body couldn’t take the trauma and she died a week after her first chemotherapy session. Needless to say, we were not prepared at all for any of this.

 

Due to limited resources, her personal preferences and final wishes, we’ve decided to bring her back home to California where she raised me and my sister Robbielyn.

 

We understand the times we live in are difficult for everyone. We hate that we have to go through this route but we humbly ask for your support.

 

We would like her Eternal Home to be in Oakland, CA at the Cathedral Christ of the Light, located not too far from where she raised us as a single mom. Your donation will go towards her cremation, niche, travel, celebration of life and final medical expenses.
