For those who know Loki, know the sweet soul that he has. The joy he brings. The love he gives. Recently, while playing at a park, he yelped, fell to the ground, and did not get back up. When I took him to the vet, I found out the worst: he tore his cranial cruciate ligament. The vet told me the surgery and vet fees would cost $4,400, and I was also told that if I ever wanted to see him run again like he used to, I would have to opt for the surgery. I have reached out to charities and assistance programs and I am anxiously awaiting the approval, but I was told it wouldn’t cover the full cost. As a student trying to finish my nursing degree, my loans are maxed and my income is limited. I know times are hard for everyone out there, but if anyone has the ability to help my baby boy walk and hopefully run again, I would be eternally grateful.
