I hate to have to do this.
On February 28th, I had to rush my 2-year-old cat Loki to the vet. He hadn’t been acting like himself, but when I noticed his breathing was off, I knew something was seriously wrong. When we got there, I was shocked to find out that he had lost 5 pounds. The doctor suspected he had fluid in his lungs, and they kept him to do some x-rays, blood tests, and to give him IV fluids. I went home and later got a call that the x-rays confirmed that he did have fluid in his right lung and they needed to do a chest tap to drain it, and also that his kidney enzymes were high. They removed 300ml of fluid and kept him overnight to monitor him. The next morning, they called to let me know they got another 50ml, so the fluid was still building up. It was decided that Loki stay there to be monitored until we can get tests sent out and figure out what’s causing all of this. The tests won’t be able to be sent out until Monday; it is currently Sunday as I’m writing this. So we probably won’t get any answers until the middle or end of the upcoming week. But the bill is already stacking, and I don’t know what else is coming. I just want my baby back and healthy again.
Anything helps <3
