Loki has always been a playful and loving dog, but recently he’s been facing a scary health challenge. After we rescued a puppy in December, Loki quickly became best friends with him. Unfortunately, Loki also started copying the puppy’s habit of chewing and eating toys. Despite our best efforts to keep both dogs safe and prevent them from getting into things they shouldn’t, Loki managed to sneak some toys and eat them without us noticing.
On March 18th, Loki stopped eating, and the next day he began throwing up pieces of toys. By March 20th, he was throwing up bile, and we knew something was seriously wrong. We rushed him to the vet, where we’re now trying to figure out exactly what’s going on and what treatment he’ll need. The possibility of an obstruction is terrifying, and we want to do everything we can to help Loki recover and get back to his happy, healthy self.
This situation has been especially hard on our family because my husband was laid off almost a year ago. He’s been applying for jobs nonstop, but so far, nothing has worked out. With our finances stretched thin, we’re struggling to cover the costs of Loki’s urgent medical care. It’s heartbreaking to see him in pain and not be able to give him the help he needs right away.
All funds raised will go directly toward Loki’s vet care—covering exams, treatments, hospital stays, aftercare, and anything else he needs to heal. If anyone is able to donate, Loki and I will forever be grateful. Your support means the world to us, and we hope that one day we can pay it forward to others in need. Thank you for being there for us during this difficult time.
