Help Loki Recover From a Life-Threatening Emergency

Hi, my name is Michael, and I’m fundraising for my cat Loki, who is currently fighting for his life.

Today is actually Loki’s 1st birthday. Instead of spending it playing or relaxing, he’s in an emergency animal hospital, hooked up to IVs and a catheter. On Friday night, he suddenly stopped eating, drinking, or moving, and by early Saturday morning, we rushed him in with a dangerously blocked bladder.

The vets diagnosed him with a urinary obstruction; a painful and life-threatening condition. His bloodwork came back with extremely high kidney values and potassium, and he was showing early signs of neurologic issues and heart arrhythmia. We approved emergency stabilization to unblock him, and now he's finally producing urine and is a little more stable… but he’s not out of the woods yet.

We’ve already paid over $2,000 for the emergency care and have been quoted another $2,500 to $3,500 for further monitoring and treatment. If Loki needs more help to survive, we’re looking at $5,000 to $6,000 total, which is a huge financial burden for our family. My dad was nearly in tears this morning trying to come up with the deposit.

We’re in an especially tough place right now. My dad just returned from asia after visiting his own father, who was battling cancer and sadly passed away. Because of this, we were forced to shut down our family business and we’ve been struggling to stay afloat financially. This emergency couldn’t have come at a worse time.
