Loki came into our lives as a rescue three years ago, and he quickly became the heart of our little family. He’s the smartest, sweetest dog I’ve ever known, always greeting us with excitement and unconditional love. Loki means the world to us—he’s not just a pet, he’s our child, and we can’t imagine life without him.

Last night, something terrifying happened. Loki was his usual happy self, thrilled to see me when I got home. We sat down for dinner, but suddenly he collapsed and stopped breathing. I managed to clear his airway and performed CPR until he started breathing again, then rushed him to the emergency vet. The doctors ran X-rays and other tests, but they still don’t know what’s wrong. Loki is spinning in circles and needs to stay at the hospital for more care, but the costs are overwhelming and more than we can afford right now.

We work hard, and it’s just the three of us—me, my other half, and Loki. He’s saved me in so many ways, and now I want to do everything I can to help him.
