Loki is our friendly giant—a Doberman with the heart of a gentle giant. He loves everyone he meets and is the most patient and loving dog there is. My partner Edwin and I see him as our first child, and he’s brought so much joy to our lives since we adopted him a year and a half ago.

Recently, I came home to find Loki bleeding and limping. We rushed him to the animal ER, where we learned he had broken his femur bone. The situation is even more complicated because Loki has a rare blood disease called vWD, which makes surgery risky and expensive. He needs a major operation with anesthesia and an overnight stay, and the cost is overwhelming for us.

We’re facing three options: a surgery to repair his femur with a plate and rod, amputation, or putting him to sleep. The surgery is the best chance for Loki to live a full, happy life, but it is a big financial challenge. The surgery is costing well over ten thousand dollars, and we’re struggling to cover these expenses. We are asking for help from friends, family, and anyone who wants to support us. Any amount will make a difference. If you can’t donate, please keep Loki in your prayers for a fast recovery. Thank you for supporting our first baby and giving him a second chance.
