Hi everyone , today I had to take my kitty Loki to an emergency vet. Immediately, they told me it was a good call because he has a Urethral Obstruction. This left untreated can turn life threatening.

I am calling on my community to help with the vet costs as he is going to need to be admitted for 48 hours.

I am in contact with Austin’s FLUTD Fighters. They are a non-profit that deals with feline cases such as this one.

Urethral Obstruction (UO), is when the cat is unable to urinate and becomes very ill very rapidly. This is an extremely common emergency seen in cats-approximately 10% of all feline emergencies involves a blocked cat. UO is very treatable, but can be very expensive, as it is a multiple day hospitalization and often surgery.
