Hi, my name is Debbie Davies and I am fundraising on behalf of my dear friend, Rosie Turner who runs Desperate Dogs of Azerbaijan.

Rosie is a Canadian citizen who lives and works in Azerbaijan.

When Rosie arrived in Azerbaijan five years

ago, she was horrified by the systematic cruelty shown towards stray animals.

Dogs and cats are regularly culled from the streets by methods which are far from humane.

Rosie could not ignore the plight of these poor, innocent souls and founded our rescue, Desperate Dogs of Azerbaijan.

We currently care for over 165 dogs and 35 cats at our main shelter and a further 154 dogs in other safe locations.

We would love all our precious souls to find forever homes but sadly this will never be possible as people in Azerbaijan will rarely adopt rescue animals and the logistics of travel to the UK are very difficult and costly.

However, three of our beautiful cats, Loki, Sylvester and Georgie have now all received offers of adoption from supporters in the UK and we just need some help to make their dreams come true.

Their golden tickets are reserved for 5th June and their lovely adopters have already made very generous donations but at a cost of around £900 per cat for preparation and travel, we still need some help.

All three of these beautiful babies have been rescued from lives of abuse and starvation on the streets and we cannot bear to think of them not being able to travel.
