Help Loki Afford Her Eye Surgery (Entropion)

Loki is a Siberian Husky. She was born November 19, 2022. Me and my boyfriend had bought her from a breeder three hours away from our hometown. She was one of the puppies from the litter than were unable to be sold. She was 12 weeks old when we got her.

 

As soon as we had met Loki in person we noticed her eye was crusting up and inflamed could barely open. The breeders brushed it off saying she was just playing in the hay and it was scratched. Everyday since we’ve had her, the eye became more swollen and very irritated. I decided to take a closer look and realize her eyelid was folded in and the hair in her eyelid was rubbing her cornea. I’ve pulled the lid down but it kept folding back up so I took her to the vet immediately.

 

The vet had realized that this wasn’t normal and told us she had entropion. She referred us to an Ophthalmologist. She will need surgery to get it corrected. We were not prepared for this especially given the information that Loki was in perfectly great health. The surgery is time sensitive and the longer she waits the more damage it could do to her eye including, a build up of ulcers, aberrations to her cornea, pain, and blindness. We’d brought this up to the breeders and they have left us with no response, even with proof of receipts with treatment plans.

 

Any type of donation will be help, we love our Loki so much and want her to stop suffering with this confidition. Some days she can’t open her eye and her whole mood is changed. all we want is for her to be happy and healed.
