In 2009, what once seemed impossible was made possible. As far as I can remember my mother always had a struggle with her physical health; my childhood (as well as adulthood) is filled with memories of her in and out of the hospital. Over time my mom developed all the major lifestyle diseases (Diabetes, high blood pressure, Congestive heart failure). What’s worst is that she came to a point where she believed she could never get better. But in early 2009 that all changed, God had provided an opportunity for my mom to attend the 18-day NEWSTART Lifestyle Program in Weimar, California. This program treated the causes of the diseases and not the symptoms, and did so through lifestyle. There’s a team of medical professionals (Doctors, Registered Nurses, Massage Therapists, etc) that educate, treat, and support individuals to better health; in just under 3 weeks lives are radically changed through lifestyle. There are so many cases where there has been total reversal of diseases, and amazingly my mom was one of them in 2009. In 18 days she had experienced a reversal of virtually all of her ailments. What once seemed impossible was made possible through the NEWSTART Program.
Sadly though, when my mom returned home she didn’t have the kind of support she needed. I always lived on another island or was in the mainland so I wasn’t there; and within a year all the ailments returned. Now here we are in 2018 and my mother’s health has never recovered since it relapsed. I decided last year to move to the island she lives on (Molokai) in hopes of helping her regain what she had experienced at the NEWSTART Program in Weimar.
Next month will be a year that I have been here and I’ve come to realize that what my mom needs is the environment that only the NEWSTART Program can provide. It’s clear that she needs to get out of her comfort zone, she needs to get away, it’s too easy for her to fall into her habits and make excuses. She’ll take a step forward only to take 3 steps back. Her success in Weimar was due to the fact that she was out her comfort zone, she was in an environment of structure, constant accountability, encouragement, and under the watch of medical professionals. If she can experience those victories again, I believe it will help solidify in her mind that she can become whole-that she can do it, that she can be healed, just like in 2009!
The good news is not only is my mom willing to go back, but this time she will have support when she comes back; I’m here as well as family members who now embrace the lifestyle principles taught and practiced at the NEWSTART Lifestyle Program.
In 2009 I had the financial means to send my mom to the program, as of right now I don’t. This is why I’m starting this campaign, I’m asking for your help to send my mom back to NEWSTART. My mom needs the help that only this program can provide. Today she has the support but just needs to experience the victories again. Will you please prayerfully consider ways you can help? Prayers are definitely appreciated and are no less helpful if you cannot help financially. What ever can be given will be a blessing!
Our goal as a family is to get her enrolled into the August 5th program. The total estimated cost for the program and her travel to California is around $8000. For more info on the NEWSTART Program please visit this website: http://www.newstart.com. There you can find all that the program entails as well as testimonials. This program has amazing and abundant success stories and my prayer is that my mom can be a part of it. Thank you so much for your time, help, encouragement, and prayers.
