Aloha, my name is Lokahi. I’m a father, a veteran, and someone working hard to stay steady through a difficult chapter of life.
Since August 2024, I haven’t been able to work due to multiple Achilles surgeries and a long recovery process. My medical leave lasted longer than expected, and I was eventually removed from my union because I couldn’t return in time. Losing my trade and my income at the same time made things extremely hard.
Recently, I was also involved in a hit-and-run accident, and my truck was taken by insurance while they determine whether it’s totaled. Without a vehicle, I can’t get to appointments, rebuild my life, or return to work once I’m cleared.
On top of all this, I’m going through a divorce and urgently need a lawyer to navigate everything safely and fairly. Legal representation in California is expensive, and with only my VA disability income, I can cover my basic bills, but I cannot afford an attorney or replace my transportation on my own.
That’s why I’m raising funds — to secure a lawyer and to get reliable transportation, both of which I need at the same time to move forward, rebuild stability, and stay involved in my children’s lives.
I want to say this clearly:
I am deeply grateful for anyone who reads, shares, or contributes.
Your support gives me room to breathe and the strength to keep pushing forward.
This is not the end for me.
This is the part where I rebuild — where I grow, evolve, and rise into the strongest and best version of myself for my family and for my future.
Thank you, truly, for standing with me during this comeback. E ola!
Mahalo nui
