More than 2 years of gunfire and explosions from a heartless, bullying neighbor has left my friend, Lois LaRoe, legally deaf and diagnosed with PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder). Her story has been documented in several newspapers and blogs, including the Detroit Free Press, and her efforts to resolve the matter has so far ended the same way: police and lawmakers say they can’t do anything to help her or stop her neighbor from setting off explosions next to her home.

One part of her story that is not spelled out much is the effects this has had on her home. The years of explosions has rattled her little home to the foundations. Her windows have been shaken to a point that they need to be replaced. Unfortunately, like so many, Lois survives alone on meager wages and cannot afford to replace them. So, throughout the winter my friend had to suffer the cold and hope for a miracle.

Lois in a kind, humble woman, and does not deserve to live like this. Her need is urgent as it will take some time to raise funds and schedule the project in time for next winter. I’m hoping you will be part of the miracle for which she has prayed.
