Hey everyone, I’m Kristine and on Friday 25th February 2022, my parents Loi and Ofelia lost their Goodna home to the floods that devastated most of Queensland. Their home was one of the hardest hit by the floods, as it was the second house on the street to go under flood waters. It was a heart breaking, mad rush to try and save all the important and sentimental things my parents have cherished over the years, like childhood photos. As the flood waters rushed into their home, the SES told them to evacuate. We found ourselves sitting helpless on the floor, thinking about all the things we lost and worked so hard for. I saw the sadness in my parents eyes, as they watched their home disappear completely under toxic flood water. This is the second time they have had to rebuild from nothing, as they also suffered from the 2011 floods which completely inundated their home. I’m trying to help my parents in raising funds to completely rebuild their family home and their lives. Any donation would be appreciated and would really help them start over.
