My Name is Logan Douglas, I am 17 years of age and passionate about golf, actually golf is my life.
I am reaching out to you in the hope you are able could possibly help me reach my dream goal.
I have been playing golf since I was 9. Over the years I have progressed and am now the vice-captain on my local team. My parents have put everything into my golf, taking me to competitions, games – all over the UK, they have always put me first. I have worked so hard at school and at golf to help me reach my goals. When I am unable to play or practise golf, I use most of my social time watching instructional videos, the Golf Channel, basically everything related to golf.
I have been offered a fantastic opportunity to go to a boarding school in America. Where I can learn and progress into hopefully one day becoming a professional. Whilst I understand it is not easy, they believe in me and believe I have the capability to put my dream into reality. I have been told by numerous colleges that I would be their number one pick for the golf team based on my abilities.
This is a chance in a lifetime; however, I do not get funding with it being in America. My mam works really hard, and my dad has given up his job so that he can take care of my mam after she was diagnosed with epilepsy as well as multiple other health issues. I have severe Hemiplegic Migraines, Dyspraxia and Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, so he needs to be on hand if we need to go to hospital. He is working towards his diploma in proofreading in order to help financially, but at this moment we only have one salary coming in which means I need any help I can get in order to further my dream.
I am trying to save up myself, however the total cost for the school for the year is around £20,000 per annum.
I have literally sold everything I own, including my Xbox and T.V., to start my fund off.
I understand money is tight for people, especially in these current times, so please know that even a small donation helps me to reach my goal, and every single penny is so much appreciated.
