On Tuesday, September 9th, tragedy struck when Beneath the Pines’ drummer, Logan Lanley, was riding home from work, and got in a motorcycle accident on the on ramp that connects the 76 and 15 freeways. Before he could recover, he was struck by a semi-truck. The impact shattered his tibia and broke both his fibula and ankle.

Logan underwent surgery on Friday, September 12th, but his road to recovery will be long and painful. He faces months of immobility, physical therapy, and being unable to work. To make matters worse, Logan had just started a new job and is still in the insurance waiting period, leaving him buried under enormous hospital bills with little safety net.

For the past six years, Logan has been more than a devoted partner to his girlfriend, Alishia—he has been a father figure to her three children, pouring love, energy, and stability into their lives. His sudden inability to work threatens not only his own healing, but also the well-being of the family that depends on him.

Anyone who knows Logan knows the kind of man he is: a caring father figure, a fiercely loyal friend, a passionate drummer, a fearless rock climber, and a soul who brings joy and energy wherever he goes. He is the kind of person who shows up for others, whether it’s through music, friendship, or family. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
