Help Logan & Jodi DeAngelis After Devastating Car Fire

Hey folks. This is Kaia DeAngelis and I’m sure many of you heard about the awful car fire on Wednesday August 28 that totaled our parent’s 2011 Chevy Traverse.

They stopped at Stop and Shop in Dumont on the way home from work, our Dad ran in for a few things and our Mom waited in the car. In just a few minutes Mom thought she smelled burning, and as it got worse she saw the smoke coming up from under the floor of the backseat. By the time she got out and called 911 the car was completely in flames.

Thank God everyone is safe, but now they’re hit with the reality of replacing their 13 year old paid off car. Both of them work (we all work), and being down a car won't be sustainable for long.

There’s nothing ‘extra’ monthly for a car payment and they’re relying entirely on whatever insurance will pay to buy whatever car they can to replace it. The book value isn’t looking like they’ll get much.

The funds raised will be added to whatever the insurance pays out to get something safe that might last.

If you can please consider donating even $20 to help our parents, they’re 2nd generation Dumont Townies who’ve had a stretch of bad luck recently and can really use a hand. We understand times are tough but whatever you can do to help means so much to us. Even if all you can do is share so more people can see it is helpful!
