Logan is my 4-year-old son, and he’s a strong warrior who battles the daily struggles of autism and anxiety. He was diagnosed with autism at age 3, and since then, our family has been navigating the challenges that come with his unique needs. Logan struggles to communicate his feelings, which can lead to heartache and confusion for all of us. As his parents, we sometimes don’t know how to help because his needs aren’t always clear, but we are committed to doing everything we can to support him.

One of the biggest challenges we face is ensuring Logan’s safety and comfort at night. He needs a cubby bed—a special needs safety bed designed to prevent nighttime wandering and help children with autism feel secure. These beds feature durable, tensioned mesh walls and locking zippers to keep children with sleep or safety risks protected while they rest. The cost of a cubby bed is extremely high, and insurance does not cover the full amount. We also want to continue Logan’s therapy, which is vital for his speech, social skills, cognitive development, and overall adaptation to daily life. Both the bed and therapy are essential for Logan’s well-being, but they are financially out of reach for us right now.

A cubby bed will allow Logan to get sufficient sleep comfortably and safely, and it will give us peace of mind as parents, knowing he is protected. Right now, we stay up until 4am most nights, watching over him and feeling helpless as he struggles to fall asleep. Therapy will help Logan build the skills he needs to thrive and adapt to a “normal life.” We appreciate every penny and commit to donating any extra funds to other autism families in need.
