Help Locke Get the Dental Surgery He Needs

This is Locke.

He’s got the brains of a raccoon, the elegance of a panther, and the soul of a lap-warmer. Most days, he’s tucked under my arm or curled on my lap like it’s the only place in the world that makes sense.

He’s been my best friend for the last 9 years.

And right now, Locke is in pain.

He’s lost weight, is picky about eating his favorite wet food, and has even stopped begging for table scraps.

The vet suspects tooth resorption: a painful condition with an unknown exact cause, where the body breaks down and absorbs the structures of a tooth, starting at the gumline. Locke will need a full dental exam under anesthesia, x-rays, and will more than likely require multiple extractions.

Pets + Teeth = Not cheap.

The estimated cost I've been provided ranges from $1,688 to $3,051.

I’ve managed to set aside enough to cover the low end of that range. But the vet requires pre-approval for the full high-end to ensure Locke can get the full treatment and emergency care, if needed, without delay.

My goal is to raise $2000 to close that gap and have enough extra to cover life-saving resuscitation action if needed during the procedure.

These extreme measures could cost an additional $250 to $500.

Let me be clear:

I’ve tried to do this on my own.

I’ve been trying to launch a small digital business.

I've tried to set up this surgery seven months ago by taking on a second job. But after my primary employer silently let me go between project payouts, everything fell apart. Since then, it’s been a slow climb to get back not just to financial stability, but to be able to set aside funds for this procedure.

I didn’t want to ask for handouts.

In fact, I've made clear I’d rather work for it than take donations. But I’ve had enough people reach out and say they want to help that I've set this up.
