Our sweet boy Lochlan was rushed by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital in Denver after doctors discovered a brain bleed. For more than a week, he’s been in the ICU, surrounded by machines and incredible medical teams, as test after test was run — yet no one could find the cause. Each day has been filled with fear, hope, and endless waiting as his doctors searched for answers and worked around the clock to manage his pain. After multiple scans, angiograms, and sleepless nights, we finally got the news we’d been both dreading and needing: they found where the bleed is coming from. On October 29, doctors discovered a small fistula — a crack in a vein deep in his brain — that’s been causing the bleeding. Unfortunately, attempts to repair it through an angiogram weren’t successful, and now Lochlan will need brain surgery to fix it. No parent is ever prepared to hear those words. Seeing your child connected to monitors, watching helicopters take off with your baby inside — it’s something you never forget. Through it all, Lochlan has shown incredible courage and strength, smiling through the pain and showing flashes of the bright, funny, loving little boy we know. We’re sharing Lochlan’s story not only to ask for prayers and love, but also for help. The medical costs, time away from work, and travel to and from Denver have been overwhelming. Our focus has to stay on being by his side every step of the way, helping him heal and holding onto hope for what’s ahead.
