Our beloved Ishan was lost at sea in a tragic boating accident. He was on a commercial crab fishing vessel on what was just an adventure and a learning experience for him when it capsized in the Pacific Ocean in Newport, Oregon. He was an adventurer, a nomad, and a nature lover.

Though his time with us was brief, he filled every moment with light, laughter, and boundless love.

We are determined to prevent this tragedy from happening to any other family. The funds raised will be dedicated to locating our son’s body and covering the legal costs necessary to seek justice on his behalf. We want to raise awareness and lobby the state representatives to reform the laws. Many questions about the circumstances surrounding his death remain unanswered. The Coast Guard’s investigation is still underway and may take up to a year to complete.
