Help Sunzal surfer compete internationally

Hey everybody :) I'm Arianna and together with a small group of local supporters we are raising money to help Salvadoran longboarder Henry Salinas, 'Slowmotion Henry,' participate in the ALAS Pro Tour & compete internationally.

We believe in Henry's serious talent and feel honored to know him. Aside from his tremendous skill in the water, Henry is kind, hard-working, open-hearted, humble, and extremely generous, always going out of his way to help family, friends, and his whole community. He is a passionate and committed surfer - over the past year he has launched his own surf school at the famous Sunzal point break. He launched with great effort and out of a pure love for surf, and spent months bringing boards to and from the beach from sunrise to sunset before finally being able to secure his own location. At his school he shares his knowledge and passion with students from all over the world while providing work opportunities for his community. He is happiest when he's out surfing :)

The money raised would allow Henry to participate in the ALAS Tour and travel to Guatemala, Peru, and other parts of El Salvador to compete in the tour, cover his food and lodging expenses, plane tickets, ALAS inscription fees, as well as any costs that may arise such as board damage or unexpected medical expenses. We also included an additional budget that would help Henry secure a coach and trainer to support the costs of being a professional athlete.

Henry doesn't currently have any sponsorship or financial support network, and has made it this far through drive, grit, & hustle. This opportunity to compete internationally would launch a very promising future in his surf career and help take him to the next level. It would also provide him with valuable knowledge of the surf industry that he can share with his students, supporting his dream to foster the new generation of Salvadoran surfers and make surf accessible for the local community.

Hola a todos :) Soy Arianna y junto con un pequeño grupo de amigos locales estamos recaudando dinero para ayudar al longboarder salvadoreño Henry Salinas, 'Slowmotion Henry,' a participar en el ALAS Pro Tour & competir internacionalmente.

Creemos en el gran talento de Henry y nos sentimos honrados de conocerle. Aparte de su tremenda habilidad en el agua, Henry es amable, trabajador, de buen corazón, humilde y extremadamente generoso, siempre se desvive por ayudar a su familia, amigos y a toda su comunidad. Es un surfista apasionado y comprometido: en el último año ha puesto en marcha su propia escuela de surf en la famosa playa de El Sunzal. Allí comparte sus conocimientos y su pasión con alumnos de todo el mundo, al mismo tiempo ofrece oportunidades de trabajo a su comunidad. El lanzó su escuela con mucho esfuerzo y por su amor al surf, pasando meses trayendo tablas a la playa en jornadas desde antes del amanecer hasta el atardecer antes que finalmente pudiera tener la posibilidad de alquilar un local. El es el más feliz cuando esta surfeando :)

El dinero recaudado permitiría a Henry participar en el tour del ALAS y viajar a Guatemala, Perú y otras partes de El Salvador para competir, cubrir sus gastos de comida y alojamiento, los billetes de avión, la inscripción en el ALAS, así como cualquier costo que pueda surgir como daños en la tabla o gastos médicos inesperados. También incluimos un presupuesto adicional que ayudaría a Henry a conseguir un entrenador y un preparador físico para poder costear los altos gastos de ser un atleta profesional.

Henry no cuenta actualmente con ningún tipo de patrocinio ni red de apoyo financiero, y ha llegado hasta aquí gracias a su esfuerzo, agallas, empuje y determinación. Esta oportunidad de competir internacionalmente, seria una enorme experiencia que seria importante para su futuro prometedor en su carrera de surf y le ayudaría a llegar al siguiente nivel.

Lo cual también le daría un invaluable conocimiento de la industria del surf que indudablemente compartirá con todos sus estudiantes, contribuyendo su sueño de ayudar a la nueva generación de surfistas Salvadoreños y poder cumplir su sueño de hacer accessible este deporte para la comunidad local.
