Help shelters send kids to school with supplies

Hi! My name is Francesca, and every year I like to find communities or organizations near me that are in need of supplies, support, or awareness. The year before COVID, I collected enough supplies with the help of my community and financial support to supply every child at the local domestic violence shelter to go to school with everything they need, but with the past year needs have become greater and availability has become scarce.

This year, I’ll personally be matching every dollar donated with either funds or supplies that will be going directly to filling backpacks with school supplies that will be packed and distributed to multiple shelters and centers that address multiple at risk demographics that are in dire need, including homeless shelters with high youth rates, shelters located in underfunded areas, and centers that work towards supporting minority children that have limited resources as the upcoming school year looms.

Every single dollar helps, and know that not only will I be matching it, I’ll be working every day this month to meet the lofty goal of delivering finished supply drops before the August 7th mark to allow for teachers, parents, and centers to accurately account and prepare based on current inventory levels. I only am where I am today because of the dozens of amazing strangers and community leaders that took a chance on me, and I need your help to start giving that chance back to our youth.

At the end of every drop off or inventory purchase, I’ll be updating with photos and receipts to keep anyone who is able to donate involved in their impact and immense appreciation.
