Help Local Music Hub to Rebuild

My name is Julian Rivers-Smith and I am reaching out to ask for your help in supporting my dear friends Cam and Michelle, who have recently suffered a devastating loss. On December 27th, just two days after Christmas, their community recording studio, Staple Studios, was destroyed by a fire and they have lost nearly $200,000 worth of recording equipment in all five rooms of the studio.

I was lucky enough to be involved in setting up this studio with Cam and Michelle in 2020, and they have been dear friends to me for many years. They have always supported me & everyone I know in their own personal businesses, and have welcomed countless artists into their studio with open arms, always striving to help careers blossom. They had big plans to further support the Melbourne music community as well as all the artists on the ACTS Agency roster in 2023, but this fire has put all of that in jeopardy.

I can't even begin to imagine the heartache and devastation that not only Cam and Michelle must be feeling right now, but the rest of the team, Jed, Keenan & the rest of the familiar faces you see in those rooms. They are too proud to ask for help, but I am reaching out on their behalf.

If you have ever been to Staple Studios, you know what a special place it is. It would be such a tragedy to see it go. That's why I am calling on your support to help rebuild their studio and continue to make a positive impact on the music community. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in helping them get back on their feet.
